It’s odd, how you consciously choose who to be with after you realize it’s a fool’s errand. If you’ve ever had a soul connection with love you may understand. Understand hearts and souls know not time, distance, or the barriers of the body. They know only what draws them, almost on a subconscious level. When your soul is touched by another, deeper feelings are revealed. Somehow the mind becomes confused in recognizing these feelings. Nerves tighten as anticipation builds. You’ve realized that you are in love, and reminded that you have a soul.
If this cruel, corrupt, staged world allowed for you to find someone in such a way, I wish you all the luck you can get, cause the warped values and constrictions of this world will test the best and worst of you. I admire and applaud any that have found such a love and have managed to preserve it.
More advice: Don’t get boring, don’t get lazy, you are never done winning them over, Actively keep up the integrity of the relationship, do new things, do new things, don’t bottle up grievances, fight when you have to, if it’s not intense in passion then it’s not worth it, oh and do new things.
Settling is bullshit. You just might be cheating out your soul mate that so happens not be with you.
I’m pretty sure I found something like a soul mate once. I still see her sometimes…in the faces I make and things I say to myself when I look at the mirror and bedroom ceiling at night. Pieces of her never left me…
